Scott J. Leahy is a photographer and musician based in Los Angeles. Raised in Twentynine Palms, California, he moved to L.A. in 2006 to pursue a career as a touring and studio guitarist. After 15 years of traveling and performing across North America and Europe and appearing on numerous recordings, Scott felt an urge to channel his experiences and perspective into a visual medium.
His work attempts to distill the loneliness and isolation of modern life on an antiquated medium, utilizing the alchemy of the film photography process to capture the ever elusive nature of The Moment. At the same time, his images document the joy and elation of people coming together and the human need for connection in an increasingly solitary world.
